PARENT / FAMILY CONTRACT AGREEMENT
- While representing Mid-Michigan ACES Volleyball Club, all athletes, coaches, parents and fans are expected to behave in a responsible and respectable manner toward opponents, referees, spectators and facilities. Athletes will wear their Mid-Michigan ACES volleyball gear to practices and tournaments.
- Any athlete with a delinquent account during the current session will be denied the privilege of participating in a tournament and/or be asked to sit out at practices until the account is paid OR arrangements are made with the club director.
- Our teams require dedication on the part of the athlete for each team to be a success. All athletes are expected to attend every practice. Illness serious enough to keep the athlete home from school, family emergencies, poor winter weather road conditions, or required involvement in a school sponsored activity should be communicated to the coach at the time of your roster acceptance or as soon as you are aware. School dances do not qualify as required involvement and will not be excused.
- In additions to #3, our athletes should not miss tournaments for school related activities. If an athlete is aware of a conflict at the time of their roster acceptance, it is courteous to their future teammates and coaches to inform the Club of the known conflict. Your roster invitation will not be affected, but the Club reserves the option to add an additional athlete to the team's roster to ensure a complete and competitive experience for all players at all tournaments. Again, school dances do not qualify as required involvement and will not be excused.
- Good sportsmanship is expected for all members of the club at all times, including athletes, coaches, parents, and spectators. This also means treating fans from opposing teams, parents, and officials with respect. Facility rules and regulations are to be followed at all times by athletes, spectators, and coaches.
- Expected spectator behavior includes but is not limited to:
- Encouraging coaches and athletes. Please do not sideline coach your athlete during a match. Let the coaches do their jobs.
- Treat athletes, officials, and coaches with respect.
- Parents should monitor their athlete’s medical needs and report any concerns.
- Parents are expected to provide transportation for their athlete to and from practice and tournament sites. If an athlete cannot be at a tournament, the athlete is expected to notify the coach as soon as the athlete knows they will be absent. Unfortunately, coaches cannot assist with athlete transportation.
- Athletes are not to leave the tournament site until dismissed by the coach. Athletes are expected to remain with their team through the completion of the team’s working assignment.
- Athletes and parents understand that the coaching staff will provide guidance to each athlete, but it is the athlete’s responsibility to work hard each day to improve their skills.
- Playing time is not guaranteed. We do not guarantee equal playing time on any team or at any event. You are paying for instruction time and reps during practices and the opportunity to earn playing time.
