Mental Performance Strategies

Here are five simple mental performance strategies designed to help athletes prepare for both practice and competition. Athletes are encouraged to print a copy and display it in a place they will see regularly. Mental preparation is just as important—if not more so—than physical preparation. Even brief, consistent mental training can improve performance, support goal attainment, and provide a meaningful competitive advantage.
